Owen and Charlie Robinson

Stuffed Toys Will Comfort Children This Holiday Season

AUBURN, LEWISTON, BRIDGTON, OXFORD, FARMINGTON, RUMFORD, MAINE : Young Owen and Charlie Robinson of Auburn are up to their ears in stuffed toys that will be distributed to children served by Tri-County Mental Health Services. The toys were donated by the Bridgton Police Department to give comfort to children throughout Western Maine. Tri-County serves more than 2,000 children each year in a wide range of programs, including: Case Management, Outpatient Treatment, Medication Management, Assertive Community Treatment (ACT), Multi-Systemic Therapy (MST), Crisis Response & Emergency. Many services are provided in homes, schools, and other community locations. Tri-County is also the lead agency in the THRIVE initiative, a six year project to build a trauma-informed 'System of Care' for children and their families that is family-driven, youth-guided, and culturally & linguistically competent.

Tri-County Mental Health Services is Maine's most comprehensive agency dealing with the psychological and social well-being of children, adults, and elders. TCMHS serves over 10,000 individuals each year with innovative programs and services addressing mental health, substance abuse, mental retardation/developmental disabilities, autism, and more. Its philosophy of building toward recovery and sensitivity to traumatic experiences of consumers gives hope to individuals, families, and communities in Androscoggin, Northern Cumberland, Franklin and Oxford counties.
