Director of Development & Community Relations 207-784-4110 x 158 tclark@tcmhs.org $9,700 Davis Family Foundation GrantAUBURN, LEWISTON, BRIDGTON, OXFORD, FARMINGTON, RUMFORD, ME: Tri-County Mental Health Services has been awarded a grant for $9,700 by the Davis Family Foundation. The funds will be used to purchase laptop computers and software for clinicians to use in their work with families and children in homes and other community settings. The availability of computers will improve access to treatment by bringing services to clients in rural areas where transportation is often a significant barrier. The project will also improve timeliness and efficiency of treatment by providing the most updated information available about the client at the time of service, reducing time required for transcription, and reducing errors of record-keeping. For many children and families, home and community environments are less intimidating than office settings and treatment can be enhanced. Tri-County Mental Health Services is Maine's most comprehensive agency dealing with the psychological and social well-being of children, adults, and elders. TCMHS serves over 6,000 individuals each year with innovative programs and services addressing mental health, substance abuse, mental retardation/developmental disabilities, autism, and more. Its philosophy of building toward recovery and sensitivity to traumatic experiences of consumers gives hope to individuals, families, and communities in Androscoggin, Northern Cumberland, Franklin and Oxford counties. |
